Consistent Care at Cherry Blossom Sitters

Consistent Care

Need more than the occasional date night sitter?

Our Consistent Care program helps families find reliable, recurring childcare for after-school coverage, part-time nanny support, school pickups, summer help, and other ongoing childcare needs.

Unlike traditional nanny agencies, Cherry Blossom Sitters specializes in flexible, relationship-based care. Whether you need someone every Tuesday and Thursday, after school four days a week, or coverage during a busy season of life, we'll work to find the right fit for your family.

How It Works

Step 1: Join as a Blossom Member
A Blossom Membership is required to begin the Consistent Care search process. Think of it as a deposit that allows us to actively recruit, screen, and coordinate candidates on your behalf.

Step 2: Contact Us
Email Brittany at Brittany@CherryBlossomSitters.com with details about your family's needs, including schedule, ages of children, start date, location, and any special considerations.

Step 3: We Begin the Search
Once your membership is active and we've reviewed your needs, we'll begin reaching out to potential candidates from our network.

Step 4: Trial Sits
We strongly encourage paid trial sits so both your family and the sitter can determine whether the relationship is a good fit before committing to a recurring schedule.

Step 5: Establish Ongoing Care
Once a match is found, you'll work directly with your sitter while continuing to enjoy the support and backup coverage that comes with Cherry Blossom Sitters membership.

Timing

Most Consistent Care placements take approximately 2–3 weeks to fill, though highly specialized schedules or requirements may take longer.

For school-year positions, after-school pickups, and other recurring commitments, we recommend beginning the process at least 8 weeks before care is needed.

Commitment

Consistent Care positions require a minimum 3-month commitment from families. This helps create stability for both the sitter and your children and allows time for meaningful relationships to develop.

A Few Things to Know

  • We cannot guarantee that a sitter will remain in a role indefinitely. Life circumstances change, and caregivers may move, change jobs, return to school, or adjust their availability.

  • We strongly encourage families to build relationships with two sitters whenever possible, especially for recurring positions. This creates greater flexibility and more reliable coverage when schedules inevitably change.

  • If a sitter moves on, we'll work with you to identify a replacement from our network.

  • Most placements are filled within 2–3 weeks, but highly sought-after schedules may take longer.

Whether you need after-school pickups, summer support, school break coverage, or a long-term childcare partner, we're here to help make family life a little easier.
